Bret Holmes

Bret Holmes grew up in Munford, Alabama, close enough to Talladega Superspeedway to treat NASCAR's biggest oval as a home track, and his results read like it. His career-best finish, a third in the Craftsman Truck Series, came at Talladega in 2022, and he added a fourth at Daytona in 2024, his other career top five. Holmes came up through ARCA competition before graduating to the trucks, where he has made his 56 career starts count for a family-backed operation that fights for every position on the board. The pattern in his results is unmistakable: put Holmes in a draft and he will find the front. Both of his top fives and most of his best runs have come at superspeedways, where positioning instincts and calm in traffic matter more than horsepower budgets. He remains the kind of driver every underdog team wants: realistic about the equipment, ruthless about opportunity, and dangerous every time the field bunches up at the tracks he grew up watching.
