Lime Rock Park
Lakeville, CT, USA

Track History
Lime Rock Park is a 1.5-mile road course nestled in the rolling hills of northwest Connecticut, one of the most picturesque racing venues in the United States. The compact seven-turn layout has been hosting racing since 1957, and its challenging character — the blind uphill approach to the famous West Bend, the fast downhill section into the braking zone for the last corner — has earned it a devoted following among road racing purists. NASCAR's lower-tier series have competed at Lime Rock, and the intimate scale of the facility creates a spectating experience where fans can see nearly the entire circuit from a single vantage point. The track's strict noise ordinance, which prohibits Sunday racing, gives Lime Rock a distinctive Saturday-race character that sets it apart from every other venue on the calendar. The New England fall foliage surrounding the circuit during autumn events creates a visual backdrop that no other track can match, and the community of Lakeville has embraced racing as part of its identity for nearly seven decades.

Race Dynamics
Road courses favor drivers with sports car or open-wheel backgrounds. Rain can dramatically shuffle the field. Qualifying position matters less — overtaking opportunities are plentiful through braking zones and varied corner types.
