Clay Greenfield

Clay Greenfield represents a vanishing breed in NASCAR: the true independent, an owner-driver from Clarksville, Tennessee who has funded, built, and raced his own Craftsman Truck Series program across 95 career starts. Greenfield's approach has always been surgical rather than full-time. He picks his spots, leans on the superspeedways where an underdog can draft with the leaders, and makes the laps count. That formula produced his career-best eighth at Talladega in 2017 and a tenth at Daytona in 2012, both results that outran his budget by a wide margin.
